"They Didn't Believe Me" was my directorial debut. It served as my final project for my FILM 100 class that I took in my very first quarter at the Savannah College of Art & Design in Savannah, GA.
The film is only three minutes long, but is meant to feel like thirty minutes long. It's a hard watch, as it tackles multiple real world issues in a realistic way.
The film follows Ethan, a former famous actor, who has since succumbed to the effects of early onset Alzheimer's disease. Almost the entire film is monologue by Ethan, as he mindlessly rambles to the audience. His rambles are occasionally interrupted by flashbacks to when he was still sharp, and had the fame he had since lost.
